ゴールデンウィークが終わって、私は 今ちょっと「五月病」です。
五月病、知っていますか？
「五月」は、４月、５月の５月と、「病」は病気の病です。
五月病。
でも、これは本当の病気の名前じゃありません。

I am a Japanese teacher, Emi.
Golden Week is over, and right now, I’m feeling a bit of “Gogatsu-byo.”
Do you know “Gogatsu-byo”?
“Gogatsu” is a month like Shi-gatsu (April), Go-gatsu (May), etc., and “byo” comes from Byoki, meaning illness.
(Gogatsu-byo =) May sickness.
But this is not the name of an actual disease.

私たちは20歳から付き合っているので、鳥取には何回も行ったことがあります。
鳥取で大好きなつけ麺屋さんに行ったり、有名な砂丘を見たりしました。

Then, from May 2 to 4, my husband and I went on a trip.
On the 2nd we went to Tottori, on the 3rd to Fukui, and on the 4th to Gifu.

In Tottori, we went to our favorite tsukemen (dipping noodles) restaurant and saw the famous sand dunes there.
福井には、はじめて行きました。おいしい魚をたくさん食べたり、有名な恐竜博物館にも行きました。
岐阜もはじめてでした。岐阜では、気球に乗りました。
気球は、Hot Air Baloonですね。気球に乗りました。
25メートルくらいの高さでしたが、けっこう こわかったです。
お昼には、岐阜で人気の岐阜タンメンというラーメンみたいな食べ物を食べて、そのあと、神奈川に帰りました。

We ate a lot of delicious (fresh) fish and also visited the famous dinosaur museum.
It was also our first time in Gifu.
In Gifu, we rode in a hot air balloon.
It was about 25 meters high, and pretty scary.
For lunch, we had Gifu’s popular “Gifu Tanmen,” which is like ramen.
After that, we returned to Kanagawa.
ゴールデンウィークは、たくさん運転して、たくさん歩いて、とっても疲れましたが、家族と過ごしたり、いろんなところに行ったりして、とっても楽しかったです。

In Japanese, we say “indoa-ha (indoor type)” and “autodoa-ha (outdoor type).”

People who like relaxing at home are “indoa-ha (indoor type),” and people who like playing outside are “autodoa-ha (outdoor type).”
