今週、急に寒くなりました。
私が住んでいる石川県では、雪が降りました。
でも、ほんの少しだけです。 ちょっとだけです。
雪は降りましたが、積もりませんでした。
今は、もう雪がありません。
でも今も空がどんよりしていて、ちょっと天気が悪いです。
外は寒いので、本当は外に出たくないんですが、週末はクリスマスマーケットに行く予定です。
クリスマスは、私の一番好きなイベントなので、とても楽しみです。

I am a Japanese teacher, Emi.
This week, it suddenly became cold.

Today, I will introduce three games that Japanese children often play.
まず1つ目。 鬼ごっこ。
鬼ごっこは、Tagです。
鬼はDemon、Monsterという意味です。
でも、鬼ごっこの鬼は Itです。
鬼が走って、みんなを追いかけます。
そして、つかまった人が次の鬼になります。
Next demon, Next Itですね。
日本では、本当にどこでもできる遊びです。
かんたんな遊びですね。

First, number one:
Onigokko.
Onigokko is Tag.
“Oni” means demon or monster.
But in onigokko, the oni is “It.”
The oni runs and chases everyone.
Then, the person who gets caught becomes the next oni.
In Japan, you can play this game anywhere.
It’s a simple game.
そして2つ目。 かくれんぼ。
かくれんぼは、Hide and Sekです。
「かくれます」は、Hideの意味です。
私は子どもの時、友達の家や公園とかで、よくかくれんぼをしました。
たまに誰も見つけてくれなくて、1人で待っていることもありました。

Second, number two:
Kakurenbo.
Kakurenbo is Hide-and-Seek.
“Kakuremasu [Verb]” means “to hide.”
When I was a child, I often played kakurenbo at my friend’s house or in the park.
Sometimes no one found me, so I waited alone.
最後に3つ目。 だるまさんがころんだ。
これはRed Light Green Lightです。
ちょっと長い名前ですよね。
でも、この言葉を言いながら遊びます。
たとえば、「だーるまさんが こーろんだっ！」と言って、すぐに後ろを向きます。後ろを見ます。

Lastly, number three:
Daruma-san ga koronda.
This is Red Light Green Light.
The name is a little long, right?
But you say this phrase while playing.
For example, you say “Daaaruma-san ga koooronda!” and quickly turn around. You look behind you.
During that time, the others move forward. They walk forward.
In Japan, it’s a popular game played at school or in the park.
私は 鬼ごっこもしましたけど、ケイドロが大好きでした。
「ケイドロ」、知っていますか？
ケイドロは、警察と どろぼうの略です。
略は、Abbriviationです。
英語だと、Cops and Robbersですね。

The police team wins if they catch the robbers.
The robber team wins if they can run away from the police.
I wasn’t a fast runner, but it was very fun because it’s a team game.
ケイドロも楽しかったんですけど、もっと小さい時、4歳とか5歳ぐらいの時は、おままごとをよくしていました。
「おままごと」、聞いたことありますか？
みなさん、クレヨンしんちゃん見たことありますか？ アニメです。

Keidoro was fun, but when I was younger—around four or five years old—I often played omamagoto.

Omamagoto is Play House.
You pretend to be a family member.
For example, I would become the mom and say to my friends, “Breakfast is ready! Please eat!”
